2025 Adidas Clash Champions

Kingston United Soccer Club delivered another strong performance at the 2025 Adidas Clash Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina, this past weekend. The club sent nine teams, spanning U9 through U14, to compete against top regional competition—marking one of the largest tournament showings in Kingston United history.


Among the standout performances, the U12 Boys captured the spotlight by earning the title of Division Champions, showcasing discipline, teamwork, and a dynamic all-around style of play. Their championship win highlighted a weekend of growth and high-level soccer across the club.


The U14 Boys also made an impressive run, advancing to the championship match after a series of tough, hard-fought performances. In a dramatic final that ended in a draw, the team ultimately fell in penalty kicks, finishing as Finalists and earning praise for their grit and composure under pressure.


Beyond the top finishes, the remaining Kingston United teams delivered strong performances throughout the tournament. From U9 to U14, players competed with resilience, sportsmanship, and consistent improvement, proudly representing the club in one of the region’s most competitive events.


The Adidas Clash once again proved to be a premier tournament, drawing hundreds of teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia. With demanding matchups and a high level of play, Kingston United athletes gained invaluable experience while showcasing their skills on a regional stage.


The club’s success at the Adidas Clash reflects Kingston United’s continued dedication to player development, teamwork, and community involvement. None of these accomplishments would be possible without the tireless work of coaches, the support of families, and the strong spirit surrounding the club.


As Kingston United returns home, pride in the club’s performances runs deep throughout the community. With a new championship secured, a finalist finish, and countless moments of growth across all age groups, the club looks forward to building on this momentum in the seasons ahead.

Our U13 Boys had an awesome showing this weekend in Columbia, SC, going up against some of the best teams in the state—and walking away as Finalists in a tough, competitive tournament! With games back-to-back, the boys were tested both mentally and physically, and they rose to the occasion. They played with heart, showed great teamwork, and gave it everything they had from start to finish. One of the highlights was a thrilling semi-final match where the boys showed just how far they’ve come. Their focus, effort, and smart play helped them earn a big win and a shot at the championship. While the final didn’t go our way, the fight and determination they showed all weekend was something to be proud of. This run is a direct result of the hard work they’ve put in all season. Every practice, every game—it’s all paying off. More than just their performance on the field, we’re proud of the way they carried themselves with sportsmanship, respect, and team spirit. A big thank you to our coaches for their constant guidance and support, and to all the parents and fans who made the trip and cheered them on—you were a huge part of the experience. Way to go, U13 Boys! We’re proud of you, and we’re excited to see what’s next!

Coast Spring Classic Finalists

What a weekend for Kingston United! Our club took five teams down to Myrtle Beach for the 2025 Coast Spring Classic on April 26–27, and they didn’t disappoint. With great weather, tough competition, and plenty of exciting moments, our players gave it everything they had out on the field. Out of the five teams that competed, two finished as Finalists in their divisions—a huge accomplishment in a tournament packed with strong teams from across the region. The other squads battled hard in every match, showing tons of heart and making big strides in their development. Tournaments like this are more than just wins and losses—they're a chance for players to grow, bond with teammates, and learn through competition. And this weekend, our players did exactly that. From the first whistle to the last, they played with passion, grit, and great sportsmanship. “We’re proud of every single kid who played this weekend,” said a club rep. “It’s always fun to see the hard work from practice show up in games—and to see our teams support each other like a true club family.” A big thank you to our coaches for leading the way, and to all the parents and families who came and cheered from the sidelines. Your support means everything. Congrats again to all of our teams—and especially to our two Finalists! YMCA Can Am Cup Finalists

Youth soccer excitement filled Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, during the YMCA Can Am Cup 2025, a two-day showcase of competition, camaraderie, and fun. Hosted at Grande Park at Market Commons, this event welcomed teams from South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia, offering multiple levels of play for players to test their skills and enjoy the tournament atmosphere. Representing Kingston United, the U10 Boys team delivered an outstanding performance. They charged through their division’s group stage with three consecutive victories, securing a spot in the finals. Though they narrowly missed the top prize, finishing as finalists was a testament to their hard work, teamwork, and commitment on the field. “We’re incredibly proud of how our U10 Boys rose to the challenge,” said coach Paul Rhea. “They played with heart, supported one another, and showcased the kind of sportsmanship we value at Kingston United.” From the coaching staff’s dedication to parents’ enthusiastic support, the weekend proved to be more than just a soccer competition. It was an opportunity for young athletes to form lasting bonds, hone their skills, and embrace the spirit of fair play. Race City Classic Champions

Kingston United Soccer Club made a strong impression at the 2025 Race City Classic, held March 1–2 across North Carolina and South Carolina. Hosted by Charlotte Independence, this annual tournament brought together U11–U19 Boys teams competing in Mooresville, Huntersville, and Cornelius (NC) and U11–U14 Girls teams in Fort Mill and Rock Hill (SC). The club sent five teams to face some of the region’s toughest opponents. After a weekend of high-energy matches and standout performances, Kingston United celebrated two division championship titles—one claimed by the U13 Boys and another by the U12 Boys Gold. Meanwhile, the other three teams fought hard and demonstrated notable growth, showcasing their resilience and commitment to the game. Known for its competitive field, the Race City Classic offered players an opportunity to refine their skills, learn from varied playing styles, and bond with teammates in a supportive, challenging environment. The club credits these achievements to the dedication of the coaching staff, the enthusiastic backing of parents, and the unwavering spirit of the Kingston United community. “We couldn’t be prouder of the passion our teams displayed all weekend,” said a club representative. “They rose to the challenge, supported each other on and off the field, and truly represented what Kingston United stands for.” Kingston United returns home with two new championships and valuable lessons from the tournament. The experience has energized both players and families, setting the stage for continued success in future competitions. We are excited to share that the Kingston United Soccer Club Boys U17 team, a brand new team competing together for the first time, has achieved an impressive finish as finalists in the DICK's Sporting Goods Invitational! The tournament, held on August 24-25, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina, featured numerous games across the region, making it a premier event for teams to jumpstart their season. With beautiful weather and a competitive atmosphere, the tournament provided a fantastic opportunity for teams and players to sharpen their skills and get back into the rhythm of the season. Despite being newly formed and playing their first set of games together, the U17 boys displayed remarkable teamwork, resilience, and talent throughout the competition, earning them a well-deserved spot in the finals. Their performance is a strong indicator of the promising season ahead, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and everyone involved in making this tournament a success.
