Coast Spring Classic Tournament 2024
Conway, SC (April, 2024) -
The soccer fields of Myrtle Beach were bustling with excitement and competition as over 500 teams gathered for the 16th Annual McDonald's Coast Spring Classic Soccer Tournament this past weekend, April 27th and 28th, 2024. A notable participant, Kingston United Soccer Club, concluded their spring season on a high note, sending all four of their teams to compete in this prestigious event.
The tournament, known for its high level of play and scenic coastal setting, draws youth soccer teams from across the region, offering both full-side and small-side formats. Over the course of the weekend, players from ages under-8 to under-12 competed in a series of intense matches, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship.
Kingston United, a club celebrated for its commitment to youth development in soccer, stood out particularly this year. While all of its teams performed admirably, the Kingston 14 Girls team captivated spectators, demonstrating exceptional skill and teamwork. They were thrilled to bring home finalist medals to add to their trophy cases at home.
"We are incredibly proud of all our teams, especially our U10 girls," said Coach Justin Schools of Kingston United. "Reaching the finals is no small feat in such a competitive tournament, and it reflects the hard work and dedication of our players throughout the year."
"This tournament helps us wrap up a great year, and seeing so many teams and families come together through soccer is truly inspiring," said Kendall Williams. "We are grateful for the continued support from Anderson Brothers bank and all our sponsors."
As teams packed up and trophies were awarded, the Kingston 14 Girls team returned home as finalists, their achievement a testament to their hard work and the strong developmental programs at Kingston United Soccer Club. The club looks forward to building on this success in the upcoming seasons, aiming to continue its tradition of excellence in youth soccer.
The Coast Spring Classic is set to return next year, promising more thrilling soccer action and opportunities for young athletes to shine on the field.
