CONWAY, SC (JULY, 2021) – Kingston United Soccer Club is pleased to announce our club will join the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) for the upcoming 2021/22 season.
The South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Founded in 1977, SCYSA is governed by a Board of Directors that is elected by representatives from their member associations, and maintains a state office in Irmo, SC with a professional staff. Their membership consists of 50+ clubs, and 20,000+ registered players. The purpose of SCYSA is to develop, promote, and administer the game of soccer among players under the age of 19 years old.
The South Carolina Youth Soccer Association is part of a much larger soccer community. SCYSA is a National State Association for the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), and is a proud member of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
Kingston United's President, Justin Schools, stated: “The SCYSA’s core values and player-centered programming perfectly complement our own. Our Board of Directors, operations staff, and technical staff are in complete alignment in believing this move directs our players to a pathway for success both on and off the field.”
